Think of this as the necessary 1st step towards the creation of your custom painting!
After payment, Alex will contact you to discuss what your vision is for your painting and will begin designing the digital mockup after receiving reference photos from you via email, Dropbox, Google Drive, or any other file-sharing software most convenient for you.
The digital mockup will be edited until it's reached a point where you're happy with the final design. If you decide to pursue using its likeness for a custom painting, Alex will discuss the pricing and payment plans then email you the Custom Painting Contract.
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
There's no such thing as sending too many photos!
Alex prefers to have as many photos as possible in order to gather inspiration for your painting, understand the form and unique details of the subject, understand the personality of the subject, etc.
Professional photography is preferred but cell phone photos can be sent as well.
Style of painting you have in mind
Monochrome, chroma/color, any metallic leaf details?
Your favorite and least favorite colors
Where the painting would be displayed.
Alex can suggest sizes or particular colors for the mockup so the painting will compliment the space.
Depending on the complexity of the design and quality of reference photos, the digital mockups can take between 1-3 weeks to create. Alex will be in contact with you throughout the design process with updates until you're happy with the final design.
Gift cards are also available if you want to ultimately gift a custom painting to someone and involve them in the mockup design process.
